These hearty little companion dogs are spirited, lively, playful, gentle and loving animals. They live for about 12-14 years on average. Dogs of this breed grow to a height of up to 10 inches at the shoulder weighting normally 4-6 lbs.

This breed is rather ancient; it has origins in Malta as far back as the 14th century. They are little dogs with a luxurious, silky white coat that hangs straight to the ground.
